FAQ

Your questions, answered.

What types of art do you make?

I specialize in textile art, particularly hand embroidery. I have particular training in tambour, surface, counted stitch, and metal thread embroidery. I have also done work in a wide range of mediums outside textiles; including watercolor, stained glass, mosaics, and pottery.

How can I commission a work?

Simply reach out via my contact form or email with details about your project, and we’ll discuss availability, concepts, and pricing.

Is your studio open to the public?

We are currently open by appointment only. Please contact us through our form or by email if you wish to make an appointment.

Do you offer restoration and mounting services?

Yes! All projects include professional archival mounting to enhance their longevity and ensuring they will become enduring heirlooms.

Will you design and embroider an outfit for me?

While I learned how to sew when I was child, I don’t have any training as a tailor. Making my own wedding dress from the ground up taught me an important lesson, leave the tailoring and pattern making to the professionals! But if you’re clothing designer who has their own existing pattern looking for someone to embellish it, I’d be happy to work with you. Let’s discuss your project, and we’ll make it happen!

What should I bring to a consultation?

Bring your ideas! If you’re looking to have a piece of art commissioned, bring inspirations, color palates, and material suggestions. If you’re looking to have a piece of clothing embroidered, ideally bring the pattern/clothing, material suggestions, design ideas.
